The best of all worlds; that’s what the Lexus SC 430 is. With its sporty look the Lexus SC430 can transform from a hardtop coupe to an open roadster with the touch of a button.
As one would expect, the Lexus SC430 is superbly appointed with options. To go from a hardtop to a convertible only takes a touch of a button and 25 seconds. The hardtop automatically folds itself into the boot and out of sight. The Lexus SC 430 comes with Lexus’s standard Adaptive Front Lighting that tracks the road as you drive, providing more safety while night driving. One of the well thought out features of the Lexus SC 430’s design is its aerodynamics. Not only are the lines stunning to look at, but they have been created to shield the occupants from excessive wind force when the top is down. The SC 430 comes standard with awesome looking 18-inch alloy wheels, and an LED rear tail lamp for hot styling as well as for long life. The interior is Lexus all the way with luxury, luxury and more luxury. From sumptuous leather seats to an intuitive climate control system that senses the interior temperature and adjusts accordingly (Best used when the top is down!). There is even a two-position memory system that remembers preferred positions for the seats, which are oh-so comfortable. Of course, there is a voice activated Navigation system and premium nine speaker sound system.
Under the bonnet is a 4.3 liter V8 engine that not only cranks out 210 kW, but is also equipped with an Acoustic Control Induction System which adjusts and optimizes the torque. The Lexus SC 430 is capable of running the 0-100 km/h dash in around the 7 second mark. The engine is joined to a six-speed sequential-shift transmission that provides quick acceleration and seamless shifting. As would be expected in a sports car, a double wishbone suspension system is sport tuned to provide optimum contact with the road.
There are not too many convertibles around that can match the same levels of style, comfort and reliability that the sporty Lexus SC 430 graces. This is one of the best hardtop luxury convertibles money can buy – sexy, stylish and with a good dose of sportiness.
