Blasting over the brow of the hill, the Audi TTRS is as sure footed and stable as sports cars come. Finding everyday sports cars that would match the Audi TTRS for pace and cornering ability would only leave you counting cars on one hand. Sure, a Nissan Skyline GTR-R or a Porsche 911 GT could boast the same level of control and acceleration, but the complete feel of the Audi TTRS is sensationally exotic – and purely intoxicating.
Buying an Audi TTRS means that you are buying a new level of car over the standard Audi TT experience – which in itself is very satisfying and very unique. As you will appreciate, the new Audi TTRS costs more to build, and the technology and engineering is streaks ahead of what you will find in many class brands on the road.
An Audi TTRS has intriguing underpinnings boasting a racing tuned suspension that grapples with every twist and turn of the road ahead with complete aplomb. In conjunction with Quattro grip, the six-speed manual transmission ensures a driving sensation that closely resembles a motor racer. Effortless grip makes the new 2010 Audi TTRS extremely dynamic. You can send the Audi TTRS into corners that will have other sports cars waddling off-road. Accurate steering, massive stopping power and extreme levels of grip make the Audi TTRS simply sensationally fun to drive.
It’s nice to sit inside a cabin that has an exotic feel while remaining impeccably well-built. The seats are bucket seats, and they support and hold the body in place for fast and insane cornering – just the way you’d expect a real sports Coupe to do the business. Comfort is excellent after a few hours at the wheel, and you just never get tired of climbing in and out of the beautifully crafted Audi TTRS interior. Actually, I bet you’ll end up wanting to spend more time in the leather interior than out of it.
At the heart of the Audi TTRS is a super quick and very responsive five-cylinder engine. Tuned for pumping out a thundering 250 kW, the smooth and effortless acceleration pushes you firmly back in your seat. The TFSI engine is very well designed and built – and the German class simply shines through. Expect a well serviced Audi TTRS to last you a very long time.
You’ll be wanting to, so you best take the Audi TTRS out to the right piece of road and there you will find that the car will catapult from standstill to 100 km/h in a mere 4.6 seconds. The Roadster will perform the dash in 4.7 seconds. The incredible road performance brings you plenty of smiles to grace your dial! The Audi TTRS is limited to 250 km/h. Maximum torque is available from as low as 1600 rpm, and yet you still have a combined fuel economy cycle of over 30 mpg – you most definitely have the very best of both worlds.
On the surface an Audi TTRS looks like a normal TT. The only give away is the optional rear spoiler – a subtle give away to the car’s phenomenal performance. Comfortable, roomy and, surprisingly, the car has a decent trunk to carry a proper amount of luggage for two. The Audi TTRS has a nice audible murmur from the five-cylinder engine. Equipped with a grunty sound system, electric wizardry and a satellite navigation system, you will be very well pampered on long journeys.
Contact Private Fleet, grab a look and take the Audi TTRS for a test drive. You’ll be swept away with the car’s ability.
